Hi guys!

You may have noticed the not-so-slight changes in RT recently. Here's the deal:

I have a new timeslot!

Afternoons with Inka from 3-6pm no longer exists. In its place is The Ad-Free 50, your 50-minute hit blitz from 1-4PM!

So from Monday to Thursday, I'll be playing 50 minutes of non-stop song after song every hour until 4! The only commercial break you'll hear is at the end of the hour, so you have more music time! Yay!

Also, we are now known as The Drive 99.5rt!

GLEE Trumps The Beatles, Renesmee Cast for Breaking Dawn, and We Say "Bye" to A Gordon-Levitt

Yeah, yeah, yeah, quit laughing, we get it. You think you're better than The Beatles.

Yep! The Beatles have been surpassed. For 46 years, they held the record for the most appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act with 71 songs. Now, these guys have claimed that record:

Losers.

Thanks to Glee's Britney Spears episode, they have a one--or four--up on The Beatles. The bar has been set higher with 74 being the record for Most Appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act. The Beatles made that record thanks to hits that were released from 1964-1996, the Glee cast broke it within a very impressive 16-month time frame.

The formula?

Take past and present hits, add a different arrangement, divide the elements among a good-looking cast, and watch the iTunes hits multiply. Very smart. That is the reason why EVERYONE loves watching Glee. Including me! :D So kudos to the cast! You go down in history this week. *thumbs up*

Any of you read the Twilight series?

WELL I DO so NO bashing hahaha!

But no, really..Yes, I've read it, and for those who have, the worry about finding the perfect Renesmee is finally over. Meet Mackenzie Foy:

Whew. I'm relieved.

Red hair? Check. Green eyes? Check. Fair, yet rosey skin? Check.

Congratulations to little Mackenzie Foy, the 9-year-old who was able to bag the role of Renesmee Carlie Cullen for the final installment of the Twilight Series. I'm honestly happy with what she looks like. Let's not be too excited, though, since she might not even appear in the first Breaking Dawn movie...and I say "first" because the book will be split into two, and Renesmee isn't born until the latter half.

How are they gonna make her mature, you ask?

Well, do you remember The Curious Case of Benjamin Button?(you should, we premiered it) That's exactly what they have planned for Renesmee's rapid growth.

Also, so far, we've got Rami Malek as Benjamin (Night at the Museum), and Maggie Grace as Irina (Lost, Taken).

In a sad turn of events this time around, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's older brother, "Burning Dan" just moved on to another plane.

Lil' Wayne: Solitary Confinement, and a Brand New Earth??

Lil Wayne's been in jail for possession of firearms (BAD DADDY), and with just one month left til his release, he's been sentenced to solitary confinement. That means 23 hours a day, he'll be alone, no T.V., no music, and no social time. The only interaction he's allowed to have is ONE PHONE CALL A WEEK.

Why?

They found his iPod and the rest of his iPod accessories hidden in a potato chip bag. Tsktsktsk.

In other news!

Scientists found another earth! And so close by, too!

Named after the wife of the one who found it, planet Zarmina is just 20 lightyears away. Yes, far compared to a trip from Mandaluyong to Alabang, but in space terms, that's HELLA CLOSE. Like, SERIOUSLY. Scientists couldn't even believe that they found an earth-like planet this close to our own galaxy. With that discovery, the chances of finding yet another earth-like planet out there increased to SUPERDUPER (if you can understand what that means lolz), so we can't possibly be the only living thing in the universe.

Zarmina..

• ..is bigger than our earth (3-4 times bigger)
• ..has a 37-day orbit (happy new month!)
  
• ..is mos def cleaner!
• ..can support life!

Looks alot like earth, doesn't it? Now, that sun is actually a red dwarf (Gliese 581) and Zarmina (Gliese 581g), is actually orbiting in the "habitable zone" with 2 other planets (Gliese 581c and d), but Zarmina is the most habitable one because there's a great possibility of it having water.

I'm excited!

I mean, although I won't be able to see it in my lifetime, I'd be glad to just know there's a place where humans can keep on living after we've destroyed this one with pollution. Let's hope we learn our lesson then, eh? ;)
